Introduction
We like to start to introduce ourselver in our first blog-message.
We are Hanneke and Jan. We like to travel over the world. However travelling around can be a bit of a challenge since Jan uses a wheelchair due to his muscular disease.
In the past when we were making plans to travel we looked around to find accessible and well adapted places to stay. Hard to find in those days. So 10 years ago we bought our first wheelchair accessible holiday home in Hungary. With help of friends and family we expanded to France and Hua Hin, Thailand. And now we can offer luxurious holiday homes to weelchair users and their family.
- An apartment in Canet en Roussillon, France
- A bungalow in Velence, Hungary
- A villa in Hua Hin, Thailand

We live in Holland/The Netherlands and most of our guests are Dutch. But we have also welcome people from Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Germany, Belgium, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Austria, USA and France.
In case we appeal to your curiosity you can take a look at our website http://www.wheelchairaccessibleholidayhomesfordisabledpeople.com/
With this blog we invite everyone who is confined to a wheelchair permantly to write his/her information about the accessibility of places.
When you write try to describe the bathroom, the bedroom and the space to manoeuvre around in your wheelchair. For instance the width of the bathroom door, the height of the bed, drop down grips next to toilet, etc.
And we like to invite our guests to write about their experiences in our accommodations and the trips they made.
Please feel free to contact us at any time by email and mailto:%20info@gehandicapten.com
Hope to read your experience here.
